About the Job:
Starcare International Hospital is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Store Manager to oversee the hospital’s inventory, procurement coordination, and supply chain processes. The ideal candidate must ensure the availability of essential medical and non-medical supplies, maintain accurate stock records, and uphold procurement and storage standards in compliance with healthcare regulations. This is a critical administrative role that supports smooth clinical operations and patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory & Stock Management:
Manage the receipt, storage, issuance, and documentation of medical consumables, equipment, pharmaceuticals, and general supplies.
Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies in physical and recorded inventory.
Maintain a well-organized and hygienic store that complies with healthcare safety standards.
Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) methods effectively.
Procurement Coordination:
Work closely with the procurement and finance departments to raise requisitions and track purchase orders.
Liaise with vendors and suppliers for timely and quality delivery of goods.
Ensure stock levels are maintained to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records using manual and electronic systems.
Prepare periodic inventory reports, usage trends, and budget forecasts.
Support audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Team Support & Process Improvement:
Supervise store assistants and train them on best inventory practices.
Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Skills & Experience Required:
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Store Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience managing medical or hospital inventories.
Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or hospital ERP systems).
Strong recordkeeping and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines.
Desirable:
Prior experience in a healthcare, pharmaceutical, or clinical store environment.
Certification in inventory or supply chain management.
Familiarity with Nigerian healthcare procurement regulations.
